Al Dawla Arabians derives its name from the Arabic word Al Dawla, which we take to mean the ‘cycles of freedom’. We consider our Arabians as a means of freeing the souls from the shackles and burdens of an increasingly overwhelming urban life. We believe that in the company of the Arabian horse, a human can find solace and spiritual peace, which is captured by its original desert home in the Arabian and Levantine wilderness and which the blow of a lunging Arabian horse continues to transport us to, even while being far removed from its native homeland. Al Dawla Arabians looks upon the human heritage of the Arabian horse from its early days in Eastern Arabia and the Levant to draw meanings from the relationship between the Arabian horse and the famed stables of the Prophet Solomon (Sulaymān), who was known for his wisdom and his divine gift for mastering the cycles of nature. Our quest is to represent the symbiosis between the natural world and human wisdom and the natural world, as we endeavour to structure our Arabian stud upon the wisdom of accumulated breeding knowledge and the best practice in handling and showcasing the Arabian horse.
The ‘nomadic’ satellite nature of Al Dawla Arabians has facilitated for our Arabian horses to be trained and shown all over Europe and the Middle East. It has also meant that as we continue to find the best broodmares around the world we often keep them stabled with their original owners so they may be bred to the best available sires there, before we move them into our specific breeding program alongside our world class famous sires.
Our original stud farm was built in Colo Australia along the banks of the pristine waters of the Colo River. Colo was the home of our legend sire RHR HEIR OF MARWAN and the birthplace of our first bred filly, the beautiful black filly BEDAYAT AL DAWLA (EUKARIONT x SIMEON SAPPHIRA) 2018 grand-daughter to the legendary sire GHAZAL AL SHAQAB.
In the next breeding season (2019-2020), our breeding program expanded to 17 foals, including the 4 HEIR OF MARWAN fillies that were exported to Belgium in 2020 to be trained and shown in Europe with VAN GOGH’S DREAM 2018 (VAN GOGH AM x MYSTICA LAOS) our special brown filly.

As we continue to develop our program towards breeding World Champion Arabian show horses, Al Dawla Arabians, which has accompanied the Arabian horse to all corners of the world, is today undergoing a major development, as we take our Arabian horse on a journey back home to Arabia and the Levant to be showcased to the world from its original homeland. Al Dawla Arabians is preparing to build our second stud farm in the ancient village of Kaferkahel along the banks of the Qadisha River, which is a few kms south of Tripoli in Lebanon’s Koura district. This move will see the relocation from Australia and Europe to the Levant of some of our best broodmares and sires, including the legendary sire, RHR HEIR OF MARWAN and our up-and-coming colts:

The logo of Al Dawla Arabians symbolically captures some of the meanings associated with the idea behind our stud. The Logo is a shield that contains a constellation of six-pointed stars and a horse head imprinted on an embossed hexagonal lattice.
The six-pointed star is used to represent the relationship between the Arabian horse and the famed stables of the Prophet Solomon; it features what is known in the Arabic heritage as khitim Sulaymān (Seal of Solomon). The six-pointed star, therefore, represents for us the symbiosis between wisdom and the natural world.
The constellation of six-pointed stars that appears in the top half of the Logo is the Southern Chariot Constellation (7 stars) that points to the Southern direction and which was historically used as a celestial sign to sail across the Equator into the Southern Hemisphere. This Constellation was later cropped by Spanish colonial sailors, who removed two of its tail stars, as they claimed it was a crucifix dedicated to their imperial patrons. Today the cropped version appears in many flags in the Southern Hemisphere as far apart as Australia, New Zealand and Brazil. The star form of the Constellation used in the Al Dawla Arabians Logo is the original Chariot conformation of 7 stars signifying the greater South in the continuous human struggle to explore new frontiers. The Constellation represents the location of our first stud in Colo Australia and the place from which our ‘caravan’ journey East has begun.
The embossed hexagonal lattice behind the horse head symbolises the weaved iron shield, the making of which was gifted to the Solomonic family through his father, Prophet David (Dāwūd). In fact, the six-pointed hexagonal lattice represents the perfect compactness in nature, or what is known in Arabic as al-bunyān al-marṣūṣ, as it appears in the tightest packing pattern of spheres, the six-cornered snowflake and the densest packing pattern of the honeycomb cube-cells.
The horse head in the lower half of the Logo is facing West from the vantage point of the geographical location of our first stud in Colo Australia. The horse is facing the blessed lands of Arabia and the Levant, which is the original home of the Arabian horse, and where it was first domesticated for riding and where it began being bred for its superior qualities and for its splendid beauty. The horse facing West also represents the direction of movement, as we embark upon migrating some of our most important breeding horses from Australia to the Levant in a repeated cycle of fortune and freedom to reconnect the Arabian horse to its original homeland in a story of glory and splendour befitting of this beautiful animal and its heritage.
